Esta semana o podcast é mais direccionado para os sons electrizantes de rock-blues. Já foi banda sonora de muitos bons momentos, a maioria deles de pura insanidade. Quem não delira com aquela guitarrada contagiante, com aquela harmónica que arrepia? Os sons que hoje são apresentados apresentam uma visão mais moderna e electrónica dessas sonoridades.

LEGENDARY SHACK SHAKERS


"The Legendary Shack Shakers are an American rock band. They play in the psychobilly style and are inspired by punk, rockabilly, polka, Delta blues, and other traditional Southern music genres, formed in Nashville, Tennessee in the mid 1990's." São também caracterizados por uma excelente atitude em palco, tendo sido considerados "Among Top Ten Live NYC acts of the year" pela Time Out NY Magazine.


HEAVY TRASH


"Heavy Trash is an American rockabilly band based in New York City, formed by Jon Spencer of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and Matt Verta-Ray (formerly of New York bands Madder Rose and Speedball Baby). The band's music draws from an eclectic mix of genres, including blues, alternative rock, Americana, and punk rock."

JON SPENCER BLUES EXPLOSION


"Blues Explosion (formerly The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and sometimes abbreviated JSBX) is a New York-based punk blues trio, composed of ex-Pussy Galore frontman Jon Spencer (vocals, guitar), Judah Bauer (guitar, vocals) and Russell Simins (drums). The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, though retaining much of the noise roots of Pussy Galore, mostly saw Spencer departing from the nihilistic "groovy hate fuck" rock of his previous band and moving towards a less caustic, more groove-oriented approach."

BOB LOG III


"Bob Log III is an American, Slide Guitar, One Man Band. During performances, he plays old silvertone archtop guitars, wears a full body cannonball man suit, and a helmet wired to a telephone which allows him to devote his hands and feet to guitar and drums." Um verdadeiro one man show, foi comentado uma vez por Tom Waits que dizia ""And then there’s this guy named Bob Log, you ever heard of him? He’s this little kid — nobody ever knows how old he is — wears a motorcycle helmet and he has a microphone inside of it and he puts the glass over the front so you can’t see his face, and plays slide guitar. It’s just the loudest strangest stuff you’ve ever heard. You don’t understand one word he’s saying. I like people who glue macaroni on to a piece of cardboard and paint it gold. That’s what I aspire to basically.”" Está tudo dito :D

THE BLACK KEYS


"The Black Keys are an American blues-rock music duo consisting of vocalist/guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer/producer Patrick Carney." São tidos como os White Stripes do blues rock, sendo apreciados por nomes como Robert Plant, Joshua Homme dos Queens of the Stone Age, Billy Gibbons dos Robert Plant,[6] Joshua Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, and Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, e Thom Yorke e Jonny Greenwood dos Radiohead. O baterista dos Arctic Monkeys usou uma t-shirt deles numa entrevista para a MTV. Foram já parte integrante em bandas sonoras e anúncios.

ALABAMA 3


"Alabama 3 are a British band mixing rock, dance, blues, country, and gospel styles.The band is particularly notable for its fusion of styles, lyrics full of ironic intent, its deliberately humorous personas, and its outrageous live performances." Já estiveram em Coimbra, no Coimbra em Blues, onde lamentávelmente (ou talvez não) optaram por um concerto acústico, eliminando a componente electrónica que caracteriza o estilo do grupo. Contudo rebentaram com a sala.

GARY MOORE


Talvez o único desta lista completamente puro. Este irlandês de 56anos é bastante reconhecido internacionalmente, com o estilo característico de um verdadeiro rock'n'rolleiro.
